The Four Major Guilt Groups.

Just read a great post from one of my fave sites. Buttoned Up is “dedicated to helping you get organised” and is packed full of tips and hints and inspiration for everyday women.

Today they reminded me that guilt is a very common and normal emotion for mothers, especially working mothers…  “Mother guilt will always exist whether we put it on ourselves or not. Our goal isn’t to eradicate it but to manage it better”.

For me, in order to fit eeeeeverything in and make time for my own ambitions (my art, t-shirt designs, this blog) I seem to have to continually decide whether I should sacrifice certain motherly “duties” and if I do…. wham, there’s the guilt. It may not be logical guilt but it’s always there regardless of how many other things we do for our kids and no doubt conpounded by those dreaded words…. “but  (insert friends name)  mum lets him”. Yes, we all know one of those mums don’t we.

It not only gives tips and advice on how to manage guilt but also some great ideas to eliminate at least some of it all together.

And wouldn’t that be nice.
